Anti-islam organisation Pegida wants to demonstrate again in Eindhoven coming Sunday. This is what the action group is writing on their Facebook page.

Last Sunday riots broke out at a demonstration of Pegida at the Al Fourqaan mosque in the district of Woensel. Hundreds of counter-demonstrators were throwing glass, stones, eggs and other objects to the Pegida-campaigners and the police. The mobile command had to intervene to ensure the safety of all. Because the police could not guarantee the security, the demonstration was broken off.

Pegida already announced to be coming back last Sunday. Now foreman Edwin Wagensveld says on social media that his organisation is already signed up for the new demonstration. If the Municipality agrees to the request, is not yet clear.

Eventually there were ten people arrested after last Sunday’s riots. Residents around the mosque have announced that a new demonstration is undesired.
