Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Eindhoven on Monday morning. He is a suspect in a fatal stabbing incident that took place in September last year.
The suspect lives in the vicinity of the victim: 38-year-old Peter Verhoeven. He was stabbed in his home on Ockeghemstraat in Gestel on Wednesday evening, September 19, 2018, at around 18:30. He then walked to his family home in nearby Van Beethovenlaan where he collapsed in a front yard. The victim died later in hospital from his injuries.
Police are detaining the suspect at the police station. A special team tracked him down after consulting witnesses and doing a crime scene investigation.
