This weekend saw revellers in Eindhoven take to the streets for the annual Carnaval.
Unfortunately, where there are crowds, there are criminals. The Eindhoven police managed to catch a thief in the act. Yesterday (Monday) morning, at about 05:00, police officers apprehended a pickpocketer in Stratumseind.
“Last (Sunday) night, we received various reports from people who had had their mobile phones stolen,” write the police on their Facebook page. “This morning, we were able to catch someone in the act.”
They placed a photo of four stolen phones (see above) on the Facebook page. “Do you recognise your phone or know whose phones these are?” they asked. If so, please contact the Eindhoven police at 0900-8844. You need to mention this registration number – 2019045219
