Monday morning, a robbery took place at a local petrol station along the Huizingalaan in Eindhoven. Police used social media to inform the public.
The robber escaped in a very Dutch manner: by bike. He took off with cigarettes and money and headed for the Jagershoef neighbourhood.
Police reported nobody got injured. It is not known whether a weapon was used. According to police social media messages, they were looking for a 50-year-old white male.
They also appealed for witnesses to contact them. Monday afternoon, police again used social media to inform people, they had arrested a suspect.
At the crime scene, an investigation was carried out by forensic specialists. Camera images were checked. Police arrested the suspect at a house along the Bordeauxlaan in Eindhoven.
