Use your waste to vote

Voting with waste; this is possible in Eindhoven’s Bepaalbak (Decision Bin).

Designers, Daan Wubben (25) and Bouke Bruins (29), created a rubbish bin for the province of North Brabant in which people can vote for different statements. It is a new way to involve Eindhoven residents in the province’s themes.

The designers have fitted sensors to the bins. These record the score. The project was part of the Dutch Design Week. In total, there were six Decision Bins at, for example, the station and Strijp-S. The very last Decision Bin will be placed at the NRE-grounds at the Gasfabriek (Gas Plant) in November.
