On Thursday night an ABN Amro cash machine in Hoogstraat was blown up with the help of an explosion.
The explosion caused significant damage. It is unclear if anything was stolen. The blast caused cracks in the wall above the cash dispenser and even a window on the other side of the street was damaged.
The flats above the ATM had to be evacuated for a short while. Residents have, however, since been able to return to their homes. Explosives experts from the police investigated the premises for any explosives that might have been left behind.
