The recumbent bike she rode is the VeloX 8. It was built by a Dutch student team. This high-tech bicycle was designed by students from the TU Delft and Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam.

The team participated in the World Human Powered Speed Challenge. This is an international competition. Fast aerodynamic bikes and top athletes compete to realize the highest speed.
