MediaMarkt begins 'employment agency' for people and robots

The MediaMarkt in Eindhoven center starts a ’employment agency’ for jobs with robots. During Dutch Design Week, visitors can do a test to see how robots can make their work easier.

The purpose of HUBOT is to show people what robotization is will mean for their work in the future. “We give that understanding and we show how people and robots together can do their jobs,” says Jeroen Mertens, Branch Director.

From 21 to 19 October, the ’employment agency’ will show sixteen concrete examples of professions that are easier to practice by robotization. According to the MediaMarkt, these are occupations such as home care worker, physiotherapist and parcel delivery.

It is an exhibition designed by artist and philosopher Koert van Mensvoort. His work is always inspired by the influence of media and technology on society.
