Platform Disability Policy test city on accessibility

The Disability Policy Platform Eindhoven (PGE) is visiting shops and restaurants in the city to test their accessibility to the disabled public.

Entrepreneurs in town are being advised by the Accessibility Working Group on how to maintain accessibility around their buildings.

The platform highlighted the disability-adapted public toilet on the corner of the Rechtestraat and Kerkstraat to shopkeepers and entrepreneurs. As many businesses do not have a disability-adapted toilet, the platform wants them to refer shoppers to the public toilet.

The goal is to also make other parts of the city more accessible to the disabled public by 2018.
