Another week’s wait for train passengers

People who want to travel from Eindhoven to Tilburg or Den Bosch by train will still have to exercise patience as fifteen train tracks are being replaced, with works ending Sunday 13 August.

As a consequence, intercity trains will not run from Eindhoven to Den Bosch and Tilburg. Sprinters from station Strijp-S normally serve the two cities. NS buses offer direct transport from Eindhoven central station, running on and off through the city center.

According to track manager ProRail, working on the track is a challenge. Large rail pieces with tracks must be integrated with millimeter accuracy. This is done either with large engines or just by hand. Staff are working day and night to get things done in nine days time.

On Monday 14 August the trains are expected to run normally again.
