Air Force Orchestra to give free performance

To commemorate the largest airborne operation in history, the Eindhoven Air Base has organised a free performance by Orchestra of the Dutch Royal Air Force on Wednesday, 13 September.

Operation Market Garden will see transport aircraft and parachutes from different countries come to Eindhoven Air Base to participate in the annual parachuting reconnaissance jump. The Orchestra, which is the only one in the world that has 41 horns and a 7-member rhythm section, will be performing from 20:00 to 21:30.

The Royal Orchestra has performed at Bevrijdingpop. In 2014, they also performed the “Last Post” when the bodies of the MH17 plane crash victims arrived at Eindhoven Airport.

All are welcome and entry is free. Since seats are limited, you must, however, register on/before Friday, 8 September by sending an e-mail to Vliegbasis.Eindhoven@mindef.nl.

The performance takes place in the passenger terminal of Eindhoven Air Base, 1550 Flight Forum. The doors will open at 19:00

Please note that a valid ID card is needed to enter the Air Base.
