Lightning strike in Den Bosch halts train services

A lightning strike in Den Bosch has impacted train services between the Brabant capital and Eindhoven.

Trains between Tilburg and Den Bosch have also been stopped, however passengers can still travel between Eindhoven and Tilburg.

Railway operator NS is providing buses in place of affected trains. It is unclear when normal services will resume.

Trains weren’t the only thing hit by nature in the Netherlands on Thursday. Lightning strikes also caused a large brush fire in National Park De Groote Peel.
