One person arrested at police check point in Rijstenweg

The police arrested one person during an extensive police check point operation on Wednesday afternoon. There are several open cases involving the driver. The police had set up a check point in the parking area in Rijstenweg in Eindhoven.

The police did not say why that particular driver was arrested. In addition to this arrest, several fines were also given for other traffic violations and throwing litter out of the car window.

Police officers checked traffic violations, outstanding accounts and fines and the roadworthiness of cars. For example, windscreen wipers, seatbelts and the condition of tyres were checked.

The checks were carried out by students of the police academy in Eindhoven and the department of Enforcement and Security of the Koning Willem I College in Den Bosch.
