A pond with smart and innovative lighting should ensure that people exercise more. In addition, it contributes to safety in the neighbourhood. That is the idea of the “pilot light” that the municipality is going to experiment with.
The design of the of the lighting around the pond, which is next to the shopping area Eckhart, was presented. The plans were considered over the past year, in collaboration with the residents. Walkers and runners were also asked for their input.
Councillor for Innovation and Design, Sustainability and Culture, Mary-Ann Schreurs attended the presentation. Annemarie Totté, the project manager from the council, was also present.
