Toy bank starts in Eindhoven

Toy bank ‘Speelcadeau’ (present to play) will start today.

Residents from the Eindhoven region can get free toys here. It is only for people on benefits or who have little money for whatever reason.

Speelcadeau uses a simple system: on the website www.speelcadeau.nl one can find a referral letter. Any social aid worker is allowed to fill out the form. These may be doctors, debt associates, teachers, communities or food banks.

The customer may call in order to make an appointment to search for toys in the Speelcadeau shop. People can make use of it twice a year.

Toy bank Speelcadeau is a continuation of ‘Stichting Speelk8’ (play power foundation).
Two years ago it helped children of families with a small fair to get Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) gifts.
