‘Better connecting of nature between Brabant cities’

The green nature areas between the five large cities in the region of Brabant need to be better connected to each other. There should also be an additional 500 hectares of extra nature, at the least.

Those are the initial conclusions of plans which will be presented tomorrow, on behalf of the municipalities of Eindhoven, Tilburg, Breda, Den Bosch and Helmond.

By way of expansion of nature and all sorts of smart solutions, there should be an additional 40 kilometres of nature connecting green areas with each other.

The cities will present the plans tomorrow to Johan van den Hout, of the Provincial Executive. The Provincial Council had previously set up the Groenontwikkelingfonds (Green Development Fund), in order to give nature in Brabant an extra boost.
