Opening International Boulevard in Eindhoven

What started out as dream in 2013 is now becoming a reality, the international community in Eindhoven is getting their own boulevard. It started with the transformation of an old Ford garage into the meeting place The Hub Eindhoven for expats. The Holland Expat Center joined later in an adjacent building, on the Vestdijk in Eindhoven. Now this street will be opened as ‘International Boulevard’ with various festivities this Sunday 12 June at 12:00, starting with a parade at the Market Square (Markt).

There will be a number of events taking place on the boulevard: the International Festival, the Expats Fair: ‘i am not a tourist’, the Expats Spouses Initiative and a number of workshops organized by The Hub. The location is the Vestdijk 25-27 inside the historical Hub and VDMA buildings, and outside with market stalls for the festival, which will be open until 21:00 on Sunday.

The International Festival will offer a market with food, drinks, handmade products and live music from different nationalities. The ‘i am not a tourist’ Expats Fair is the largest event of its kind, normally held every year in Amsterdam, is now coming to Eindhoven for the first time. Bringing 50 exhibitors together for education, employment, entrepreneurship, housing and many other services and networking opportunities. The Expats Spouses Initiative opens the door for internationals and overcome obstacles in finding a job. The Hub will offer free workshops starting at 13:30 with Bookbinding, at 14:00 Soul Storytelling,at 14:30 Education System in The Netherlands and multilingual upbringing, and at 15:30 Happiness Program by Art of Living.
