Eindhoven company designs app for people with epilepsy

Eindhoven start-up Medapp has developed an app for people with epilepsy. On a smartphone or tablet they can keep track of when they have had a seizure. In addition, they get a signal if they need to take their medications.

With the application users can share their patient records and seizure list with health care providers. In the Netherlands, about 120,000 people suffer from epilepsy. It often takes some time for the medication to work, so patients often experience a period of uncertainty with irregular attacks. Medapp should help to mitigate these attacks.

Epilepsy MedApp module is available for free from the App Store and Google Play.
