Aireas to measure air quality during stoppage airport

Royal Marshals (Marechaussee) Airport arrest Greek suspect for drug smuggling

Eindhoven airport will not have any airtraffic during the first two weeks of June because of the renovations scheduled at the landing strip. This is an ideal time to measure air quality in the surrounding area as proposed by Aireas, a group of volunteers who are keen on measuring air quality in the city.

The aim is to take readings at the airport and in the surrounding area, to measure the difference. But also further away in places where the difference should not be detected as a controlling factor.

Eindhoven municipality will bear some of the costs of the research, the remainder is to be raised via crowdfunding.
