13,000 guests at anniversary festivities of Philips

The festivities to celebrate Philips’s 125th anniversary attracted an estimated 13.000 visitors during the extended holiday weekend of May14-16. This according to het Eindhovens Dagblad.

The Philips Stadium and het Philips Museum had no entrance fees. Het Evoluon also celebrated its 50th anniversary. There was an exhibition of Philips as a health firm, but also the companies which came forth out of Philips’ existence such as ASML and NXP.
