Worldwide Philips applies most patents at the European Patent Office. In 2015 most applications came from the Eindhoven company. 2402, that’s a third of all Dutch applications.
According to Philips, the figures show that the innovative strength of the company is good. Philips also leads the list in three leading areas of technology. The areas are ‘Medical technology’,’Electrical machinery and energy’ and ‘Measurement Systems’.
Last year, the electronics company was still second on the list.
