Is music mixing, or designing of old items, an occupation exclusively for youngsters? Definitely not! This is proven by the participants of the workshop of ArtRoute65. Today they presented their conclusions.

ArtRoute65 enables senior citizens to get acquainted with new developments in the fields of art, design, culture and technology. The senior citizens were able to join two types of workshops: Design of old items and Music with a twist.
During the workshop ‘Design of old items’, participants learned about reuse and up-cycling. (Up-cycling means granting new life to old products by giving them a new function and therefore, added value). Reuse and up-cycling are topics that occupy many young designers. The workshop was organised in cooperation with the Dutch Design Week (DDW).

Another group followed the workshop ‘Music with a twist’, in collaboration with Mad Skills Event Agency. The participants had an adventure in the music world and eventually, ended up in Dynamo’s youngsters centre studio, and learned how to mix music.

The presentation was held this afternoon (from 14:00 to 16:00 hrs) in Artside Flipside on de Tarwelaan.
