Paradigit declares bankruptcy

Eindhoven computer chain Paradigit has filed for bankruptcy in a Den Bosch court, according to an announcement on the company’s website.

Paradigit’s distribution centre for its retail stores, PDC, was also declared bankrupt. All twelve of the chain’s brick and mortar stores will close, while the webshop will remain open as an independent company.

More than 200 employees face losing their jobs after the filing. The company is due to meet with a curator to discuss the possibilities of a partial reopening.

Last year, Paradigit owner Arjen de Koning took over bookstore Van Piere.
