CKE building Stratumsedijk officially sold

The CKE (Center of Culture and Education) building at Stratumsedijk 22 in Eindhoven is officially sold. Niels Veenhuijzen, interim director of CKE and Frank Van Groezen CRA Vastgoed BV signed the purchase contract.

The future plans for the building will be developed further. In 2017 CRA Property and Veenhuijzen hope to get a permit for the plan to create villas and apartments there.

The CKE will start to renovate the building at Pastor Peterstraat in spring. The building will be expanded to accommodate all CKE activities in the future.

In December there was considerable agitation within CKE. Former director Ruud Janssen opposed the threats to halve the subsidy on culture. He was laid off by the supervisory board, which led to anger among the staff. Meanwhile, relative peace has returned within the CKE.
