Today, Brainport has become the 26th member of the Coast to Coast e-Mobility Initiative, an agreement between California and The Netherlands on smart and e-Mobility. TU/e will also be collaborating.

The Coast to Coast E-Mobility Connection (C2C), a public-private partnership, aims to promote knowledge and innovation exchange between Dutch and U.S. governments, universities and companies. The Netherlands and California are global leaders for e-Mobility introduction.

This afternoon the signing ceremony took place at the Automotive Campus in Helmond. Jos van Bree, Vice Mayor of Helmond, signed on behalf of Brainport and Peter van Deventer on behalf of Coast to Coast e-Mobility.

Jos van Bree: "Brainport, with the Automotive Campus, is a European hotspot of green and smart mobility and eager to partner with C2C". Peter van Deventer replied: "I consider Brainport a great asset to the transatlantic cooperation between The Netherlands and California and their ambitions to accelerate the introduction of smarter and cleaner electric transportation."
