Works Council of CKE very disappointed about court verdict

The works council (OR) of the Centre for the Arts (CKE) is deeply disappointed in the judge’s ruling, which favours the decision of the Supervisory Board (the Raad van Toezicht (RvT). The RvT was vindicated today along with the decision that the suspension of manager Ruud Janssen need not be reversed.

For the OR it is not a decision they are happy with, said spokesman Peter Thissen in a conversation with Studio040. "We are very disappointed. Ruud Janssen was supported by all 129 employees. The council completely supports him. Many things were initiated under the leadership of Janssen. He has done a fantastic job. The targets have been met," said Thissen.

The works council is considering the forward course of action over the next few days along with their lawyer. Thissen hopes that the Supervisory Board will take responsibility in the ‘essential interests of not only the CKE, but also in the interests of the arts and cultural education.’
