The art-light work by De Cagna at the Stadhuisplein will be accompanied by music this year. It will play the popular song ‘Brabant’ by Guus Meeuwis. The song will play three times an hour, in many different versions.
"Eindhoven is of Brabant, but also of the world," is the idea. Therefore, the well-known song lyrics are not only sung in Dutch, but also in Chinese, Russian, English, Spanish and Senegalese. Dutch celebrities like Peter Koelewijn, Frank Lammers and Mayor Rob Gijzel have also lent their voices to the project.
The project involves an interplay of the music with the light of the arches in the artwork on the Stadhuisplein. This sound and light show will add an extra dimension to the art project according to the organisers.
Saturday evening this jubilee edition of Glow will commence.
