Angeliki Rama ten thousandth TU/e student

Eindhoven University of Technology has enrolled the 10,000th student of the academic year 2015-2016. The student in question is Angeliki Rama from Greece.

The bachelor student has been studying Electrical Engineering since the beginning of the academic year. She was surprised during class by rector magnificus Frank Baaijens with flowers and gifts yesterday.

The university also showed growth in the past years but it is now the first time that the TU/e has passed the magical barrier of 10,000 students. Rector Baaijens is pleased with this milestone.

"We have worked hard on the renewal and improvement of our education and to offer more space for students to develop themselves. I am very pleased to see that this is also reflected in the number of students enrolling." The TU/e will be growing steadily, he predicts, to twelve thousand students in about five years.
