The police checks were carried out on a number of main routes. There were 27 people caught drunk driving, of whom three had to relinquish their driving licence. One motorist compounded the crime by not only driving drunk, but also without a licence. Another motorist, a beginner, blew 6.5 times the legal limit when breathalysed.

Checks were carried out not only by police, but also by the Belastingdienst (Tax Authorities). They distrained 10 cars in connection with debts. Five of the vehicles were actually impounded and towed away. In addition, a total of €2,655 in outstanding debts was recovered.
