Expat Center hosts cultural walking tour for expats

Holland Expat Center South will host a cultural walking tour on October 17th.

The center teamed up with four Eindhoven cultural institutions to offer expats a chance to explore the local cultural scene, organising guided tours and the chance to win prizes and special offers.

Attendees will meet at Eindhoven’s Bibliotheek (library) at 10:00 on the 17th for an official welcome, followed by a tour of the library. Next on the agenda is a presentation at the Van Abbemuseum. After lunch, the group will explore the Parktheater and Muziekgebouw Frits Philips, before wrapping up at 16:00.

Olivia van den Broek-Neri, Project Co-ordinator Communication & Events at Holland Expat Center South, says the walk was organised to give expats in the area a chance to discover what Eindhoven’s cultural scene has to offer, and meet new people in the process.

"It’s important for expats to be introduced to the local culture. This includes art, theatre, film, music, and literature", says Olivia. The expat centre previously organised a Cultural Bike Tour of Eindhoven in April, while this tour was planned around locations within walking distance of each other.

Approximately 30 participants are expected to join the walk. If there is enough interest, the Expat Center plans to organise events of this type twice a year.
