The second edition of Parkfest starts at the Philips de Jongh park today. The successor of Folkwoods has a lineup with a total of 30 performances and expects some 1,000 visitors a day.
This small festival features, among others, The Dolmen (UK) and Andoorn (NL), as well as a reunion concert of the Dutch band Ygdrassil. Parkfest is not only about music though. The market and camp site also contribute a lot to the atmosphere on the festival grounds.
The festival market offers clothing and musical instrument builders and there is a comprehensive programme of poetry, workshops and children’s activities.
The camp site has been divided into two parts. There is a section for those who want to go to bed on time and a section for people who want to party until the wee hours.
