Consultation about low-flying military aircraft over Meerhoven

Alderman Schreurs will consult with the Ministry of Defence about the low flying of military aircraft over the Eindhoven neighbourhood Meerhoven.

Residents of the neighbourhood are quite shocked by the Hercules aircrafts, which fly just above the houses in high cruising speed.

According to the councilor it concerns special exercises of Defence. The municipality was not informed about the training. Schreurs finds the nuisance annoying and will meet with Defense next week. But she stressed that Defense has permission to perform the flights.

The Labour Party urges the alderman to keep disruption to a minimum. Schreurs thinks measurement equipment around the airport can help. The equipment records the amount of nuisance caused by aircraft.
