Debate on Eindhoven: a city of growth and attraction

How do we keep Eindhoven pleasant, charming and maintain affordable facilities? These are some questions to be answered during a city debate later this month in the city.

Mayor van Gijzel, together with entrepreneurs and experts will be participating in the event. Experts will speak of the Van Abbe Foundation and the Netherlands environmental assessment agency (‘Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving’).

A major reason for the debate is to discuss the growth of 300,000 inhabitants in Eindhoven. Van Gijzel foresees a necessary construction boom of high-rise buildings in the near future. This has raised reactions and arguments among organisations in the city.

The debate will be held on 24 March and is set up by the city council.
