Busy polling station at Eindhoven station

The polling station at the railway station in Eindhoven was well attended this morning. The first voters arrived at half past 7, when the ballot boxes opened up.

Today are the national elections of the Provincial States and the water management bodies (‘Waterschappen’).

According to the staff at the polling station there are clearly more votes cast for the Provincial States than for the water boards.

The voters said they have more knowledge of the Provincial States and who to vote for than of the water management bodies.

Until now, at the end of the morning, the turnout percentage of voting in Eindhoven stands on 14,22% but till nine o’clock tonight Eindhoven citizens can cast their vote.
