Eleven startups tried to raise money for marketing their products in the Evoluon today. 800 investors were present to hear their pitches.
In the past few months these small businesses took part in the Start Up Bootcamp, during which dozens of mentors from the business community coached them. The pitch-day today was the grand finale.
According to initiator Patrick Gabriëls, investors from all over the world closely monitor the developments in the Brainport Region: "More than 1,000 investors had registered for today, but we did not have room for more than 800. We simply had to lock the door! "
Among the investors present were companies from China, Singapore and the US innovation hotspot Silicon Valley.
