German driver arrested after driving into police car

Resident of Eindhoven arrested for threatening with a knife

Police last night arrested a German driver because he drove into a police car on the A2 at Best. He was driving without lights on the Eindhoven Ring.

Earlier in the evening, the driver was reported to have been driving around the Eindhoven Ring without headlights. The driver was prompted to stop, however did not heed and avoided the order.

Police forced the driver to take an exit. At the end of the exit they placed a police car with sirens and flashing lights with the intention to stop the German car, but he rammed the police car and drove off, damaged, on the Ring heading to Oirschot. Moments later, he crashed into a lamp post and could be arrested.
