Geldrop-Mierlo will pick up fight against youth overweight.
Today city counselor Verdouw and elementary schools are signing a contract for healthier eating habits in schools.
By signing the contract Geldrop-Mierlo will become a so called JOGG-community. Those are communities who, together with partners, take action to push back overweight in children by teaching them a healthy lifestyle.
At the moment there are agreements between schools and the community in Geldrop-Mierlo. Local companies and other organisations can also join in within the framework of social entrepreneurship.
