More planes carrying coffins land in Eindhoven

Two planes, carrying the remains of victims of the Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash, landed at the Eindhoven Air Base again this afternoon.

After their arrival, the same ceremony was conducted as on the previous days. The procession of funeral cars then went to Hilversum, where identification of the victims will be undertaken.

Tomorrow another plane with 38 coffins on board will fly from Kharkov in Ukraine to the Netherlands. This is going to be the last flight, for now anyway, and it is not yet known whether it will involve the Dutch Hercules or the Australian C17.

With this flight, 227 coffins with bodies and human remains will have been transported to the Netherlands. A total of 298 people were killed in the disaster, including 194 Dutchmen. According to different sources, there are still human remains to be found at the crash site.
