The studio of an artist in Waalre completely burned down last night. The artist, Mary Kapteijns, had her workshop in a barn at a farm.
All of the artwork stored in the barn was completely destroyed. According to Omroep Brabant, it consisted mainly of zinc plates and plaster casts, which were used as basis materials for her artwork.
How the fire occurred is unknown.
