Youth from Geldrop want Cruijff Court

Youngsters from the Braakhuizen district in Geldrop are working on a plan to obtain a Cruijff Court at the St. Jozef square in Geldrop.

More and more playgrounds are disappearing from districts and neighborhoods, in favor of construction. This makes it increasingly difficult for children to play and exercise on the streets. With this initiative, the kids are trying to prevent that from happening.

A Cruijff Court is a modern football field named after the creator, the famous Dutch football player Johan Cruijff. The Johan Cruijff Foundation and the municipality of Geldrop-Mierlo are supporting the initiative and will further develop the plan together.

On Tuesday 25 March, a briefing will take place to inform the people of Braakhuizen.
