Disabled youngsters working in The Colour Kitchen at HTC

The first five students have started working in the Grand Café ‘The Colour Kitchen’ at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. This restaurant concept enables youngsters with a disability to reintegrate into the labour market, following a special training.

The catering company Eurest, in cooperation with The Colour Kitchen Foundation, are offering the youngsters this opportunity by means of special training, coaching and working experience. The goal is to enable the youngsters to eventually find a permanent job in the food and beverage branch; either in the kitchen or in serving.

Apparently, fifty percent of the students which have completed this training successfully, will be able to find a paid job or to continue with further training. ‘We are happy to introduce this restaurant concept and thereby help youngsters to reintegrate into the labour market’ says René Veneboer, Manager Operations Leisure & Campus at Eurest.
