Next year, the International School Eindhoven will begin with French-language education. It is intended for a group of elementary students whose parents are French.
The parents are employed by the European Air Transport Command (EATC), a global command centre at the Eindhoven Air Base. The centre maintains oversight of military air traffic in Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The students will receive their lessons in French for three years. With a multilanguage education, the International School and the Eindhoven district would like to make the region more attractive to foreign employees.
The ‘Brainport’ region is increasingly focused on talent outside the country’s borders. Previously, the ministry of education pointed out the International School of Eindhoven as a place for bilingual education. As of next year, all children will receive lessons in English and in Dutch.
