Tata Steel Chess masters Tournament

A group of Grandmasters battled their way through the ninth round of the tournament in the Conference Center at the High Tech Campus on Thursday 23rd January.

Grandmaster Levon Aronian who is ranked number two in the world is in the lead by (7.0/9). Dutch chess prodigy Anish Giri follows him in second place , while the other well-known Dutch Grandmaster in the tournament, Loek van Wely, stands in eighth place.
Players have impressed chess enthusiasts with their creativity and speed in the matches, so there was plenty of action on Thursday.

High Tech Campus Eindhoven was very pleased to host the ninth round of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament.
