The two former Philips factory buildings at Strijp S, Anton and Gerard were officially opened on Friday.
In the two old buildings, 276 lofts (apartments that consist of a single large space) are built.During the opening there were tours of the building. Also the Philips family was present. Warner Philips, the grandson of Anton Philips, addressed the new tenants. The first occupants moved into their new homes at the end of last year. The specially written piece for the occasion Transitia by the Eindhoven composers Ad Maas and Ed van Otterdijk, will be performed at Glow festival because there is also a light show involved. This was decided by the owner, Housing Corporation Trudo.
