Philips factory girl relocated to new home

The factory girl moved to her new home last Friday. The statue was located in front of the light tower (Lichttoren) for many years but from now on it will grace the entrance hall of the new Philips Museum.

The factory girl is a symbol for the young women that used to work in the Philips factories making light bulbs. The statue was first located in front of the Philips HQ on Emmasingel, and then moved to the light tower.Philips owns the statue. The Philips Museum will be opened by Queen Beatrix on the 5th of April.
