Helmond is on the 4th place of the nationwide list, that is led by the Meander Medical Center in Amersfoort. The ‘worst’ hospital in Brabant is the TweeSteden Hospital in Tilburg and Waalwijk, according to the newspaper. Both locations are ranked last on the list.TweeSteden Hospital board member Loeks van der Veen’s first reaction on Sunday was that he did not recognize himself in the report. He is very ‘surprised’ and ‘disappointed’ with the results. According to him, the reason that the hospital is on the last place on the list is because the hospital chooses not to perform certain treatments. As a result, the hospital missed points and landed on the last place in the rankings. The AD hospital Top 100 is based on objective medical data taken from all hospitals. The information has to become available to the public. The list was published on Saturday and consists of 33 criteria; 29 of which are quality-related and include waiting time and number of specialists.Source: Omroep Brabant
