EINDHOVEN – The real name of the man who recently escaped from the psychiatric unit at the ‘Woenselse Poort’ is unknown. The police is searching for him. If you see this man, the police advise that you do not approach him.
This was disclosed by the program ‘Opsporing Verzocht’ (tracing required) on Tuesday evening. The name the man gave when he was admitted cannot be found in any official database. The patient is most likely an Algerian, he is 1.70 meters tall. The man disappeared from the facility on Sunday morning (17th of August). He was being detained because he had stabbed a security guard while shop lifting. The authorities had placed the man in psychiatric care for further evaluation.
