Monday, February 6, 2012

DEN BOSCH – The website vlieglawaai.nl of the SP group in the Brabant Provincial Counsel received  over 3000 complaints last year. This results from figures presented on Tuesday.

Most complaints, more than fifteen hundred, are about  Eindhoven Airport and the air base there. The site received more than twelve hundred complaints about air base Gilze-Rijen. Most complaints are about noise. Also, many of the complaints are about vibrations caused by helicopters from the Gilze-Rijen air base. The reporting point  was symbolically opened early december by SP leader Emile Roemer. The SP thinks 3258 complaints are enough to get a good impression of the problems that arise around aircraft noise. According to the party it is not sufficient for statistical analysis.
