Özlem Nurver combines abstract painting with portraits, focusing on expressing emotions rather than depicting reality. Through color, texture, and the emotional depth of faces, she reflects her inner world and personal feelings. By using mixed media—oil, acrylic, and various materials—each of her paintings becomes an experimental tool for exploring her emotions throughout her artistic journey.

A special selection of her works can be seen at the Best Library from November 3rd to December 12th, during opening hours.

On Saturday, November 8th at 1:00 PM, Özlem will be at the library itself to officially open the library with a short talk and a toast. Everyone is welcome! 

Who is Özlem?

Özlem Nurver, born in Turkey in 1980, is a painter. After studying art and graphic design, she worked for over 20 years as a graphic, UI/UX designer, and illustrator. Since moving to the Netherlands in 2022, she has focused on painting. Her work combines abstract expression with emotive portraits. She is married and the mother of two children.
