Trade unions to talk to NXP top brass about takeover concerns

Trade unions will be talking to the management of NXP today.

The reason for this meeting are the concerns about the possible takeover by Qualcomm and the consequences this may have for the employees.

The trade unions, FNV metal, VHP2, and The Unie carried out a survey among the staff, which showed, among other things, that nine out of ten employees feared the number of jobs at NXP in the Netherlands would decrease. Twenty percent even fear for their own positions, according to the unions.

The trade union, FNV, has already indicated that it has no confidence in the acquisition of NXP by Qualcomm.
